SB Nation Brings You Pick 6 Football

Pick6-football_mediumThe folks at SB Nation are bringing you a new form of Fantasy Football!

Some of you baseball fans might be familiar with SB Nation's "Pick 6" game for the diamond, and now they're bringing the same concept to the gridiron as well with SB Nation Pick 6 Football. I know that a lot of us are in fantasy leagues already and things of that nature, but Pick 6 Football gives you a unique opportunity.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept (as in you didn't play the baseball version), here's how it's going to work. Each week, you will have a salary cap of $120 to play with. From that $120, you must pick a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver, a tight end, and a kicker. . .plus there's one wild card spot (that can't be a quarterback). There is no "draft," per se. You can pick any six players you want to fill out your team, as long as you can fit them under your cap. Want Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady at quarterback? Then you're going to have to go cheap somewhere else, because those guys will cost you a decent chunk of your $120.

Think about it. . .if you have a bad draft in your fantasy football league, you could potentially be hosed all season long. But with Pick 6, you get to pick a new team every week! Find the match-ups you want to exploit, grab your players, and sit back to see if they perform. It takes a couple of minutes, and you're set for that week's action.

Not only that, but you'll be able to compete against your fellow Daily Norseman members. When you sign up for Pick 6, you'll be asked which SB Nation NFL community you want to compete with. The leaderboard will be updated every week, and you'll be able to see how you're doing against your fellow Vikings fans.

So, make sure to check out SB Nation Pick 6 Football. You can also follow them on Twitter or check them out on Facebook.
