Watching Your Six: Who Did You Choose For Pick 6 This Week?

Stay connected for news and updates

Pick6-football_mediumWell, we're one game into the NFL season, and I'm happy to report that SB Nation's Pick 6 game has been a rip-roaring success thus far. According to the leaderboard, out of the 81 people that signed up to play Pick 6 and declared The Daily Norseman to be their site of choice, yours truly is

a) in 81st place, and
b) the only person thus far that's in negative points

Clearly. . .clearly. . .I should be writing about football in my spare time.

However, that's not going to stop me from putting this post out there for folks to be able to compare who they've chosen for the inaugural week of SB Nation Pick 6. Here are my six for this week, complete with match-ups and dollar values. Feel free to toss your six out there in the comments section.

QB - Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers ($0.50, at Green Bay) - Hey, he was cheap, we still don't know if the Packers' pass defense has gotten any better from last year, and maybe. . .just maybe. . .there's going to be an overabundance of Moss in the end zones at Lambeau again. It might be wishful thinking, but hey.

RB - David Wilson, New York Giants ($22.50, vs. Dallas) - The source of my negative points, thanks to his fumble and his almost complete lack of production in the season opener. That's right, David Wilson! You're the problem! You're why my Pick 6 team is awful! You're. . .

Whoa. . .damn, man. Okay, my fault. I apologize. Might have gone a little overboard there. You know what? Go ahead and take the rest of the week off. No, no, it's cool.

WR - Julio Jones ($34.00, at Kansas City) - Seemed like a pretty good deal for a wide receiver that many people are expecting to have a breakout season in 2012. Hopefully the breakout will start on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead.

TE - Kyle Rudolph ($0.50, vs Jacksonville) - I have a feeling this is going to turn out to be a huge bargain.

K - Blair Walsh ($0.50, vs Jacksonville) - And hey, if Rudolph doesn't score a lot of points, The Blair Walsh Project™ will have plenty of opportunities to do so, I'm guessing.

Wild Card - Arian Foster ($56.00, vs Miami) - Arian Foster is good. Like really, really good. The Dolphins are sort of not very good at all. Should be a big game for one of the NFL's best running backs.

Total spent - $114

Which six will you be watching this weekend?
