Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 10/1

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

We've hit the first day of October, ladies and gentlemen! Week 4 of NFL action is completely in the books, and we're well and truly into the bye week for the Minnesota Vikings now. Yeah, it stinks, but we'll get by. . .one day at a time.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-A very special little girl has is celebrating her first birthday today.

-We took a look at Pro Football Focus' grades for the past couple of games.

-Vikings' kicker Blair Walsh has set another record in short order.

From some other sources across the internet. . .

-Here's another look at the Vikings' victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers from the United Kingdom.

-The younger sister of Vikings' defensive tackle Fred Evans will be a member of the U.S. Bobsled Team in the upcoming Winter Olympics.

-In non-Vikings news, the Josh Freeman situation with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has officially taken the off-ramp to Crazytown. Our friends at Bucs Nation are doing an outstanding job of covering everything relating to that.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel you absolutely must curse.

We continue on with KISS Week for our ambient music selections.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen! We should have plenty of stuff for you throughout the course of the day today, so keep an eye open for that. Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday, everyone!
