"Tire Fire". "Dumptster Fire", I don't think so.

I am getting a little tired of all these "fire" phrases. Not like "Fire Frazier" but like "Dumpster Fire" or "Tire Fire". Can we please stop using them?

Before you berate me, please hear me out. A dumpster fire is at least in a controlled setting, and while the evidence shows that Frazier has control of the team, the fire itself burns with energy. This team has shown nothing even resembling energy this season, with the exception of a few plays. A few of Peterson's runs last night were full of steam, too bad the coaching staff put an end to that quickly. Jared Allen hasn't played with intensity in two years, outside of one game last year where the guy across from him made his nose bleed.

The word "Fire" can be a good thing....like "They are fired up", and right now, there is nothing good about these Vikings.

So, I suggest we stop using the phrases "Dumpster Fire" or "Tire Fire" to describe the Vikings, as those things are actually pretty hard to extinguish, quite the opposite of the 2013 Minnesota Vikings. I realize the phrases are meant as a way of saying "flamed out", but to "flame out", there had to have been a flame in the first place. The coaching staff and front office made sure that any fire on this team that burned with a passion to win was snuffed out in the off season (AP as the only exception).
