2013 Miss Gratuitous Picture of the Week -- The Fans Speak

In case you missed last week’s episode:

Choices. We all make choices. Sometimes they turn out well. Sometimes they bust. The successes are usually the preferred outcome, although the busts can be quite enjoyable as well.

More than anything, however, the choices which really annoy me are those with ambiguous outcomes. What if I had done that instead? Would things have turned out differently? Or would I have ended up in the exact same place?

This is week 9, and I suddenly find myself somewhat in doubt. Enough doubt that I feel the need to revisit my past choices. However, that seems inadequate. I need...more. I need input from the fans of Miss Gratuitous Picture of the Week!

This week, I am not going to chose our champion. Fear not! We will have a champion. This week, you are going to chose our champion. In the event of a tie, I will cast the deciding vote. This week, I will nominate the contestants and the poll attached to fan post will determine the winner. Without further ado, let's get started!

Contestant #1 is our reigning champion, newly minted last week. Obviously, she meets with my approval since i just handed her the crown. Gratuitous? Absolutely!

Contestant #2, often referred to as Second Girl From Left, was our runner up last week. OK, now you can see why I am starting to have doubts. When judging a contest, it is important to have rules in place to help make the tough decisions, and believe me, this was a tough decision.

What eventually earned her runner up status last week was, well, the picture isn't really that gratuitous. In fact, it is pretty tame, and in a tie breaker situation, it was enough to knock her into second place. If the contest was Babe Who Can Really Rock a Pair of Jeans and a Tee, she would have been the winner, As it is, I think she is definitely the leading candidate for Someone I Would Like to Distract Me During a Vikings Game!

Contestant #3, sometimes referred to as Chaps Girl, was our reigning champion until she was ousted last week. Her reign was somewhat short, but she certainly had her fans!

Contestant #4, most frequently referred to as Our Little Bundle of Cheer, captured the crown at the start of the season, and held it until she was wrangled by Chaps Girl. She is our longest reigning champion,

Our fifth, and final contestant, is Eric's offering for this week, who has been dubbed Waldo. I have to admit, she does have her charms. Eric has been in a bit of a slump lately, and obviously decided to play to the home audience by submitting a Vikings cheerleader, in an attempt to get his mojo back.

As an unbiased judge, such overt attempts to influence me would be met with feelings somewhere between indifference and scorn. However, how the fans will react remains to be seen!

Well fans, that's it. Five choices, all well qualified, sifted from the best Miss Gratuitous Picture of the Week has offered for the first half of 2013. Now, it is up to you!
