Your Vikings Bye Week NFL Open Thread

"Did you know I was this close to being named the 2012 NFL MVP?" - Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings may be sitting at home this week, but there's still going to be NFL football action from coast to coast and border to border on this Sunday. This is where all you Vikings fans can hang out and talk about what's going on with the rest of the league.

If you're wondering which games are going to be airing in your neck of the woods, you can find out from the good folks at The 506. Here's a quick listing of all of today's action for you.

Early Games on CBS

New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals - Greg Gumbel/Dan Dierdorf
Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins - Marv Albert/Rich Gannon
Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans - Kevin Harlan/Solomon Wilcots
Jacksonville Jaguars at St. Louis Rams - Bill Macatee/Steve Tasker

Early Games on FOX

New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears - Joe Buck/Troy Aikman (if you were wondering which game to avoid. . .can only imagine that Buck is all angry because he's not in Green Bay today)
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers - Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnston
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants - Thom Brennaman/Brian Billick
Seattle Seahawks at Indianapolis Colts - Kevin Burkhardt/John Lynch

Late Game on CBS

Denver Broncos at Dallas Cowboys - Jim Nantz/Phil Simms

Late Game on FOX

Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals - Chris Myers/Tim Ryan

Sunday Night Football on NBC (featuring not Faith Hill)

Houston Texans at San Francisco 49ers - Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth

Super Freaky Ultra-Late Game on NFL Network

San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders - Brad Nessler/Mike Mayock

The Monday Night Football contest for this week will feature the New York Jets making a trip south to take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Along with the Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins are taking this weekend off.

The game between the Chargers and the Raiders is going to be late this evening due to the grounds crew at the Oakland Coliseum having to wait until the baseball playoff game between the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland Athletics concluded on Saturday, as they need 24 hours to prepare the stadium for football. That game will kick off at 10:35 PM Central, meaning that just about nobody in the continental United States east of Las Vegas is going to be watching anyway.

Except for Arif, but that's only because the man doesn't sleep.

We're about an hour away from kickoff. . .for me, this is going to be a Red Zone day, courtesy of NFL Game Pass. Whatever action you're keeping an eye on, you can talk about it with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans right here.

Also, you can follow all of today's action on the fancy, shiny, and new SB Nation NFL scoreboard. Check it out!

Enjoy your football Sunday, folks!
