Ed Reed released by Texans, could he be a fit for Vikings?

Texans are reported to be waivering Ed Reed after his comments about Houston being "outplayed and outcoached."

The Texans are releasing Reed, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday, per a source informed of the pending deal. Reed will go on waivers after he earned $6 million guaranteed for just seven games. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle had the first report.

Since the Vikings are quite thin at the free safety position, would Ed Reed be a fit to support Andrew Sendejo or even become a starter for Minnesota?
