I am not going to point any fingers. But I hate how once the team starts losing everyone wants to trade everyone and anyone they can. "He has value..Sell, Sell, Sell." These talks about trading Jared Allen are one thing. Its pretty clear they are keeping Griffin and Robison so JAllen is going to be the odd man out. But to trade Peterson. Because he signed a big contract? That is insane. And whats more insane is that they would rather have draft picks so Speilman could select the next Ponder rather than a proven RB who could go down as the greatest RB's ever. It just boggles the mind.
The biggest problem with the Vikings are not the players. Its the coaching staff. Offensively and defensively they are a poorly coached. I would even say the GM is a problem. The coaching staff refuses to start rookies on the basis that they are rookies and wants to bring them along slow, even though there is no way that they could play any worse than the players in front of them. The offensive scheme is poor. The defensive schemes are ridiculous, I am not sure if its the players executing them poorly or its just a bad schemes. I tend to think its the schemes because I refuse to believe these players are just that bad.
I would be willing to bet the Vikings are back in the playoffs next year with a new coaching staff. And would be competing to win the division the following year. As long as AD is on the team.
