Chicago Bears At Minnesota Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Jonathan Daniel

My apologies for not getting this put together on Friday like I usually do, folks. . .wound up spending most of my day yesterday on a tour of the Korean DMZ, which is an amazing and awesome experience for anyone that manages to find their way to this neck of the woods.

But, now we're back on track, and we're going to have a look at the final injury reports for the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears going into this weekend's final meeting at the Metrodome between the two teams. Let's start, as we always do, with the visitors.

Chicago Bears

Name Position Injury Sunday Status
Lance Briggs LB Shoulder Out
Jay Cutler QB Ankle Out
Anthony Walters S Groin Out
Derrick Martin CB Hamstring Questionable
Stephen Paea DT Toe Questionable
Jay Ratliff DT Groin Questionable
Major Wright S Hamstring Questionable
Matt Forte RB Knee Probable
Robbie Gould RB Illness Probable
Brandon Marshall WR Quadriceps Probable

Cutler's injury means that the Bears will once again roll with Josh McCown at quarterback. Generally, I'd say this is a good thing for the Vikings, but they've managed to make every quarterback look spectacular this year, so I won't go that far. Briggs being out is helpful for the Vikings, though, and we'll have to see how much the injuries to Forte and Marshall will slow them down, if at all.

And now, on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings

Name Position Injury Sunday Status
Josh Robinson CB Chest Out
Kyle Rudolph TE Foot Out
Matt Asiata RB Shoulder Probable
Fred Evans DT Knee Probable
Chad Greenway LB Wrist Probable
Adrian Peterson RB Groin Probable
Xavier Rhodes CB Concussion Probable
Brian Robison DE Illness Probable
Andrew Sendejo S Foot Probable
Joe Webb WR Concussion Probable
Kevin Williams DT Quadriceps Probable

The Vikings are actually starting to get back to full strength. . .well, as "full strength" as an NFL team can get 12 games into a season, I suppose. Rhodes and Webb have cleared their concussion tests and are expected to play their normal roles. Outside of Robinson and Rudolph (and obviously Harrison Smith), there really aren't a lot of serious injuries on the Vikings' side of the ledger any more.

And that's a look at the injury reports for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears going into their final match-up at the Metrodome.
