I started with the Viking's having the 4th overall pick, and my goal was to pick up as many 2nd round picks as I could. My overall game plan was to pick up the best player available at a position of need, unless there was another player available that had dropped way too far to pass up on. I still got two QBs: Manziel and Mettenberger. I was planning on taking McCarron, but I ended up being offered a mid 2nd, a late 2nd, and a mid-3rd pick for the position where I was going to take McCarron, and then by the time my next 2nd rounder came up, he was gone.
To be honest, I don't know about most of who these players are, but that doesn't really matter. My goal here was to fill up on as much upper middle of the road talent as I can, and I think I did a pretty good job of that.
The things I would change / will work on when I do this again will be to ignore the QB position a bit longer and try to do a bit better at DT/LB, plus I would've tried to trade back in to the 2nd round or early 3rd round more aggressively, but I'm at work, so I should be working.
What do you think?
