The 2013 Minnesota Vikings, have been the team, we expected to see in the 2012 season. And the 2012 Vikings, are the team we expected to see in 2013. Just the story of the Vikings. After an unhuman season, last year, for ours truly Adrian Peterson, the Vikings entered this season, giving even pessimistic fans hope. After all, all they did coming off a season were they reached the playoffs, was get 3 first rounders, and put another year under the belt of Christian Ponder, who was seemingly becoming a dependable game manager. Well, fast forward to today and we now know, a game manager, (especially one that's as inconsistent and with durability issues, as Christian Ponder), just won't cut it for this team. Aside from the garbage defense this team throws on the field week in and out, we also have a QB circus in effect. The instability at the QB position alone, is one reason I feel the Vikings, A) Need a new coaching staff, B) Must find a new Quarterback in the upcoming draft. So to that point, I will throw out some names of QBs, who are currently expected to enter the draft. I will then post links of articles describing each Quarterback. At the end of the article, I will attach a poll to vote for the Quarterback you would like to see in purple next year, assuming we have the 6th pick in the draft.
First, lets start with the 3 QBs, which are ranked in the top 32, according to Scouts Inc.
|8. T. Bridgewater*||QB||Louisville||93|
|14. Blake Bortles||QB||CENTRAL FLORIDA||92|
|20. Johnny Manziel*||QB||Texas A&M||90|
To one's surprise, is the uprising of UCF's QB, Blake Bortles. Many people may never even heard of the guy. His team handed Teddy Bridgewater's Cardinals their first loss of the season with this game winning TD. To my shock, the guy even gained some Andrew Luck - Lite comparisons. So, who is Blake Bortles and what does he bring to the table? Follow the following links.
Blake Bortles' Career Stats
Now you should be a little more familiar with Blake Bortles. Now Let's take a look at the QB who's expected to be the first Quarterback taken off draft boards. Teddy Bridgewater. First, I will start off with his career stats, than I'll share some links with you.
Teddy Bridgewater's Career Stats
For those who didn't know much about Teddy, now you should have a better picture painted towards him. Now, to finish off part 1, lets take a look at OMG JOHNNY FOOTBALL. Or by his biological name, Johnny Manziel. You should know the routine by now. Stats then links.
Johnny Manziel's Career Stats
This Concludes 2014 QB Options Part. 1.
Part 2 will Include Derek Carr and Brett Hundley, among others.
So, assuming we have the 6th pick in the draft, which one of these QBs give you the most hope of turning in the Franchise Quarterback we desperately needs? My personal vote has now switched to Blake Bortles ahead of Johnny, since I'm assuming Teddy Bridgewater will already be gone. If Teddy somehow falls to 6th, he's the guy I'd go with in that unlikely scenario. What do you guys think?
