The 2013 season has not met any of our expectations. Christian Ponder has regressed. We greatly overvalued our offensive line. Our defense has been... Less than adequate. Greg Jennings hasn't made a splash. Injuries have piled up and oh yeah, our coaching staff still hasn't a clue how to coach a football team on the road.
But, there is still hope.
After all, we do have Adrian Peterson.
The final four games on our schedule are: @Ravens, Eagles, @Bengals, Lions. This Sunday we go into Baltimore as a HUGE underdog. But, say per chance 28 goes ape shit and we win a stunner late. Improbable, yes. But not in impossible. Say we carry that moment home and blow out the Eagles. Emotions are pretty high. Maybe Kyle Rudolph and even possibly Harrison
Ford Smith come back for our trip to Cincinatti. Don't get me wrong. Cincy is a hell of a team. But if I remember correctly, I believe we played some pretty damn good football this holiday season last year. And we do still have the reigning MVP. And say we win on the road again, and head home week 17 to play the Lions.
Well consider this.
The Packers, who suck anyway, suck even more without Erin Rogers. This team is quite bad without
her him. Their remaining schedule is: Falcons, @Cowboys, Steelers, @Bears. Without him QB-ing this week, the Falcons are in town to play the frozen tundra, and I think the Packers win. However, I do not see them beating the Cowboys in Dallas, the Steelers at a frozen Lambeau or the Bears week 17. That would leave them at 6-9-1.
The Bears close out the year with: Cowboys, @Browns, @Eagles, Packers. With Cutler out these guys can't win. Say they lose to Dallas, Cleveland, and Philly. And play spoiler to Green Bay week 17. They close out with 7-9.
Detroit is in the driver seat so far, but say, just maybe, they remember they're the lions and lose @Eagles, and at home to the Ravens and Giants.
In the regular season anyway.
Stranger things have happened. Adrian put this team on his back last December and we squeaked in. If he stays healthy and the rest of the division cannot...
