With the Eagles recent changes to coaching staff and moving to Chip Kelly and his spread-option scheme, they seem to have some issues with filling the QB position. They are so desperate that they have turned their backs on Nick Foles and hope that Vick can execute the spread-option effectively, this being expected since the Eagles picked up his 3 million dollar roster bonus. Well due to Vick's long injury history, as he's only finished a 16 game season once in his career, why not dangle Joe Webb out to them in exchange for Nick Foles and sweeten it with a 5th or 6th round pick?
This will net us a strong armed QB with starting experience, who's on a rookie contract, and solidify our backup QB situation. Foles has a rocket arm, is a large bodied QB, and has decent pocket awareness. It's also a possible fail safe in case if Ponder fails. Tell me what you think in the comments below.
