Under the radar trades/signings.....

With free agency coming after the combine I wanted to think of a few under the radar trades that could help our Minnesota Vikings.

These are just ideas I am having that include players that should be looked at by our front office. These are players outside of the OBVIOUS Greg Jennings (which by the way I would pass on). Mike Wallace (who I love) Bowe (who I would pass on again).

I know I am just throwing ideas out there on these players and please feel free to put your comments in below. Will I agree with them? I don't know. Will you agree with mine? I don't know that either. But lets put out some ideas that realistic, that could help our D, help our passing game, and help our Super Bowl chances.

Trade:

Toby G to the Bucs for a 4th and Blount (don't piss me off, I will punch you) running back to replace our backup. Look, Toby could be a starting RB for some of the NFL teams around the league. Toby could be there short-line/goal-line RB instead of the muscle hampster crashing into 6'5" 300lb defensive players. And let's face it...when we have AP on our team, the back-up will b just that. A BACK-UP that see's the field 5 to maybe 10 times max a game.

Trade:

Percy for Mike Williams and a 4th this year and a 3rd rounder in 2014. I realize Percy is a blue chip player and those are few and far between. However dude is a head case. Would I play for 2+ million this year? Hell no. Unless we give him ass load of $ he will not be in purple this coming year. Giving him a dumpster full of money will In turn keep us from signing decent FA's and depth. Is he amazing? ABSOLUTELY. However I'm also tired of keeping players which we could get high draft picks for ex. Cindy Rice and Ray (whif a lot boxer) and getting a ham sandwich in return.

SIGN:

DRCromartie (and his 22 kids) from the eagles to help Chris Cook and replace the ageless Winfield. Harrison Smith at safety, DRC shutting down Calvin, James Jones, and Marshall two games a year and Chris Cook (when he is not getting burned on the outside, or injured) could be a dominate secondary.

TRADE:

Joe Webb to eagles for a 5th rounder to back up the china doll Micheal Vick to play Chip Kelly's Offense.

SIGN:

Jason Campbell/Matt Moore to solidify our back-up QB because Joe Webb is not/should not be our experiment anymore.

SIGN:

Danny Woodhead from the Patriots to help Ponder w/ those 3rd down pass catching needs.

SIGN:

Brandon Gibson from STL to be our #2 or #3 WR. Dude is young and has shown flashes of greatness w/ Bradford at the helm.

TRY OUT:

Austin Collie-let him prove he is healthy and will not sustain a concussion w/ a hit from a kicker on a punt return STRICTLY for WR depth.

DROP:

Drop Carlson and sign Cook/Finley. Finley obviously is a GB packer however he is a matchup freak and I realize he is butterfingers some days. However he will open up the field as well as bring redzone help to ponder w/ Percy gone. Rudolph and Finley could be killer. Cook has shown he can carry the load, but is blocking abilities could be a problem for some guy named Adrian Peterson. But I mean come'on.....can we get much worse then Carlson? :::::crickets::::::

These are just a few ideas we could use to improve our team. Hoping Percy comes back but I'm leaning toward a trade as of today. He is a killer talent that comes along very few times. I'm not sure he needs the $ to play here. He seen on TV what our team can do because he was gone for most of the end of the season....I'm hoping he sees that and realizes he can help the team and not be a headache. If the front office is smart they will sign him to an incentive deal that could be in the range of Pierre Garçon from last year. Hoping its cap friendly, but I'm wondering if a fresh start is in his near future as well.
