An interesting thought popped into my head. What would it be like if the Vikings' three greatest (offensive) players of all time at their position, played together. By trio I mean one RB, one WR, and one QB.
I do not count guys who only played for us before or after they were in the prime of their career (i.e. Favre, Cunningham).
For us, I believe our trio would be Fran Tarkenton, Cris Carter, and Adrian Peterson. Wow. That would be a dangerous offense.
But why stop with us? I want to know what the best trio of all time would be. Would it be the 49ers, with Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Roger Craig? or perhaps the Cowboys, with Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson? (you could make an argument that Dorsett, Aikman, and Irvin deserve a shot as well).
Being of such a young age, I'm probably missing some great players, so please comment on what three players (from the same team) would be the greatest in your opinion.
