Super Bowl Sunday is a day where you can feel justified in having some delicious food, whether it's sitting at home watching the game on your own, bringing a dish to a party, or munching on wings at your local sports bar. Many of you have some culinary skills, and this is where you can exhibit those.
That's because here, we're going to talk about what we're going to be munching on as the Baltimore Ravens do battle with the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Share your menu for this afternoon's festivities and, if you'd like, share some of your favorite recipes as well.
Personally, there's no way you can go wrong with a dip. Because, as you know. . .
So, if you're short on time, or even if you're not, here's one for you to try out today, thanks to the folks from Southern Living.
Loaded Baked Potato Dip
1 package of fully cooked bacon slices (2.1 ounces. See, it has bacon in it. . .like I'd steer you wrong)
1 container sour cream (16 ounces)
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup chives
2 teaspoons hot sauce
Garnishes such as bacon, chives, and pepper
To create this, all you do is microwave the bacon (per the instructions on the package) and drain on paper towel. Then crumble the bacon, stir it into the rest of the ingredients, and chill it in the fridge. Serve it with some fries (the recipe specifically recommends waffle fries, though your mileage may vary on that), and there you go. Quick and easy.
Share your recipes here, folks, or just tell us what you're going to be chowing down on during the game this afternoon.
