Hiya all! This is my first post, so be gentle. As indicated by the title, I would like to talk about drafting Deandre Hopkins. He has good speed, good size, great route running, 10' hands, and great catching. He attacks the ball at the highest point and uses his body to block defenders away from the ball.
Deandre Hopkins would be a consistent threat and work well with Christian Ponder's strengths. He's been compared to Roddy White and Reggie Wayne, and I would compare him to Greg Jennings. He could really learn a lot about how to be that type of receiver because of Greg Jennings being there.
With the Vikings having the picks that we do we are in the right place to grab him, as he is thought of as a late 1st to early 2nd round pick. We could grab Hopkins in the 1st and use the other early picks on defense, or trade up in the 2nd if he falls there.
Anyway, please tell what you think about Deandre Hopkins and where we should draft him.
