If ever there was a draft to trade down in, this is it, as far as I'm concerned. The Vikings need to plug more holes well rather than fewer better and the draft is deep with few stars. Unfortunately other people seem to view this draft the same way, so expecting a high fourth rounder to drop six spots (like the Ravens got from the Vikings last year) might be out of the question.

Still, considering the extensive list of needs for the Vikings this year (WR, G. DT, ILB, OLB,CB, S all need upgrades) picking up an extra mid round prospect should be worth taking a bit less this year.

I would probably take any of these trades for the Vikings 1st round pick (#23) this year

Bengals: #37 + #115 (mid-late 4th for 14 space jump)

Dolphins #42 + #108 (mid 4th for 19 space jump)

Cowboys: #47 + #80 (mid-late 3rd for 24 space jump)

Steelers: #48 + #79 (mid-late 3rd for 25 space jump)

Giants: #49 + #81 (mid-late 3rd for 26 space jump)

Dolphins #54 + #77 (mid-late 3rd for 31 space jump)
