The combine definatly showed Vikings fans that this is a deep class for defensive backs, receivers, and especially defensive linemen, which is great because the Vikings main priorities in the offseason include all of those positions. There are major updates in all areas of the plan.

NFL Draft Day 1-
1. Kevin Minter ILB, LSU
Kevin Minter had a terrific junior year and is a terrific prospect. Minter was a playmaker and consistent force for the LSU defense racking up 130 tackles, 15 for a loss, 4 sacks, a forced fumble, 5 passes broken up, and a pass intercepted. Kevin Minter is physical in addition to good speed. Not only is he fast, but he is explosive and an excellent tackler. Minter shines in both the run game and pass coverage and is a great blitzer. He will be a great fit for the Vikings’ 4-3 defense. Minter hovers around 6’2 and weighs in at 245lb.

Draft Day 2-
2. Justin Hunter WR, Tennessee
Justin Hunter is the ideal size of a number one receiver, standing tall at 6’4. He has great speed and performed well at the combine. Hunter has the ability to go deep and has great size like many quality receivers in the NFL like Calvin Johnson and AJ Green. Hunter had 73 catches this year for over 1,000 yards, coming of an injury.

3. Bennie Logan DT, LSU
Logan was a great asset to one of the best front sevens in college football and I’m hoping he’d make a great addition to the Vikings defensive line in 2013. The defensive line struggled defending the run. This is class is so deep at defensive tackle that the Vikings are able to select an outstanding player in the third round like Bennie Logan. Logan had 45 tackles, 5 and half for a loss, 3 passes broken up, and two sacks this year. He was disruptive in the passing game and run game. He is 6’2 and 309 lb. Expect him to bulk up even more during the offseason. Logan also performed well at the combine.
Draft Day 3-
4. Ryan Swope WR, Texas A&M
4. Duke Williams SS, Nevada
5. Micah Hyde CB, Iowa
6. Jake Knott OLB, Iowa State
