Pretty slow on the Vikings news front today but found a video that I was dying to share. A gal who goes by the name of Lux Drummerette, made a video jamming to Mastedon while dressed fully in Vikings garb. It's not really even my style of music, but seemed very apropo for our site.

The 28 year old is considered to be one of the top drummers on the metal scene, and has open for bands such as Third Eye Blind, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Rob Zombie just to name a few. In November '07 she was awarded ‘Best Female Drummer’ in the Metal/Hard Rock category at the All Access Magazine Music Awards and was awarded ‘Outstanding Female Drummer of the Year’ by Rock City Magazine. In December 2006, Lux was announced as 'Miss WFD 2007' for the World's Fastest Drummer competition at the NAMM Convention where Lux amazingly set the record for Single Strokes in the Female Category at 901 Strokes in 1 minute.

So anyway, it should be clear that Lux be awarded the presteiged honorary title of "Official Drummer of the Minnesota Vikings", and while this hasn't been cleared with either Spielman or herself, I don't think they'd mind.
