Matt Waldman of Football Outsiders did a great analysis of Xavier Rhodes' abilities (yes I know it's from November but that doesn't make it less true). I knew Rhodes was good but I didn't know he was as good as the article suggests.
There are some great screen grabs from Rhodes' games' that demonstrate how his length, press capabilities, and football intelligence play out on the field. I didn't realize he's also rather strong against the run.
My understanding is the Vikes had planned to take him at 23. Great thinking (even if we got him at 25 after Floyd dropped in our lap)!
Speaking of the secondary, is anybody else as concerned as I am who will play the nickel with Antoine gone? Who the hell will lead the secondary? Smith seems too young and only in his second year.
