Bishop to E6

Actually, this has nothing to do with chess other than the fact that Bishop and the chess piece share part of their names. Maybe the capital letter "e" means Eden Prairie.... Hang with me guys... I'm grasping at straws. Anyway, it appears that the Packers have parted ways with ILB Desmond Bishop. Desmond was hampered by a hamstring injury last season, which may have been the cause of his release, but he did play well in 2011. He racked up 115 tackles (25 assisted) and 5 sacks, good enough to earn a 4 year, $19 million dollar contract. Not bad for a sixth round pick. Anyway, Bishop still has to clear waivers. If he does, then should the Vikings take a look at him? This is a moot point because they could sign him whether we like it or not, and the update on the story says the Vikings are the first team his will visit, but leave your opinions in the comments below. Check out the original story on NFL.com here.

I guess I'll plug some highlights as well if you need to see how he plays. (Unfortunately, I could not find a video of Bishop on his own. This one also features AJ Hawk.)
