First round potential options

As most vikings fans I've been watching mock drafts and scouting reports and trying to decide what the best move for the vikings is right now going into the draft. I have narrowed it down to four options in how I think the first round will go. Something that seems to be a constant amongst fans of teams needing a qb(including ours) is wanting to wait til the second round. If they were to do that, that means our odds of landing Carr(should he fall that far) or garropolo with #40 is slim. That's why a couple of the options I listed have us trading down to get more picks, which could then be used to move up to early second(perhaps a team that did get a qb) or even late first(I think even a late first round pick has much less pressure to succeed than a top ten pick.

1)draft Barr or Mack, pick up qb with pick 40. I don't think both will be there, but there is a great chance one will be and both are big impact players that would be exceptional under zimmer. Qb options at #40 could be slim. And we have a lot of young late round picks at lb the last few years. The type of guys that zimmer loves.

2)trade down and pick up Nix and additional 3rd(maybe higher depending on how many spots we move). From what I've seen it appears many people think the Bears will pick him up with the 14th pick. Since the rams prefer to move down as of late, the most likely candidate to move up would be the Giants with #12. The reason this is my favorite choice is because of all the years of the Williams Wall and the impact they had for years. Nix is pat 2.0. He's agile, quick on his feet, and strong(things mccullers lacks) and paired next to Floyd would be Williams Wall 2.0. Also, the additional picks would let us move up if needed to grab garropolo, or more defensive depth if he does fall to us at #40.

3)trade down to mid round and grab Dennard. I love everything I've seen about this guy. Potential to be shut down corner and very aggressive and physical. Would make a big step towards having a young, talented secondary for years to come. Also, the added picks have the same potential as the trade down for Nix. One downside to this is that the free agent cb market looks quite deep this year, and I also love the idea grabbing a veteran stud to mentor Rhodes. But hey, why can't we have our cake and eat it too?

4) do what everyone expects and grab a qb. I'm not sold on anyone but teddy as being good enough to warrant this pick, and I think there are better options beings we had an above average offense with mediocre qb play and bad play calling all year. With norv and cassel and an improved d we can compete for the playoffs next year while grooming a later round guy who needs it.
