Adam Schefter reports that Philly has reached an agreement with free agent cornerback Nolan Carrol.
Carroll was believed to be on our short list of cornerbacks drawing interest from Mike Zimmer as part of his defensive rebuild. The former Dolphin Carroll is a large, long armed corner with the necessary physical attributes to play man coverage. The Vikings are in need of man cover corners as we switch over to Zimmer’s system.
I was reallly getting excited about Carrol earlier this week as he seemed to be available on the cheep but still be a corner we could really build around.
I think this makes signing Munnerlyn even more of a priority, as we still need some major help at CB obviously. Not many FA CB's still out there, DRC is an option but not a better on than Munnerlyn in my opinion. If Munnerlyn is the only CB we sign in free agency i think we should still draft a CB in the top three rounds.
