There have been recent reports that the Eagles no longer want their star WR, DeSean Jackson. Jackson is coming off of the best season of his career with 1,332 yards and 9 touchdowns off of 82 receptions. So, should the Vikings be interested?
If the Eagles cannot find a trade partner for Jackson (which is likely to happen), then they will end up releasing him. It seems odd that they want to get rid of their top WR after having such a great year. A lot of it probably has to do with his monster cap hit of $10.5 million. Some of it also has to do with his attitude. It has a tendency to stink (like Randy Moss or Percy Harvin). But then again, what good WR isn't a diva? A hard-nosed coach like Mike Zimmer would probably be able to handle it, though.
So if he were to become a free agent and the Vikings were SOMEHOW interested, we would likely be saying goodbye to the (surprisingly) 30-year old Greg Jennings. With today's cap, it would be nearly impossible to keep 3 studley WR's that the Vikings would have in Jackson, Jennings and Patterson. Norv Turner would probably find a way to implement the speedy WR into his offense, which would obviously benefit Patterson, Peterson and the Vikings new QB (hopefully Johnny Manziel, hehe).
Even though it is HIGHLY unlikely that the Vikings even consider obtaining DeSean Jackson, you can never know for sure with Darth Spielman as the Vikings GM!
