Arif Hasan has written up a pretty detailed scouting report on Ted Bridgewater. It's sadly at Vikings Territory instead of at the Daily Norseman, but here's the link. The whole article is essential reading for us Vikings fans, regardless of whether we prefer Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles, Carr, or another position for the first round draft pick. I'll just cover the highlights and urge you to support Arif's new job with our mouse clicks. Besides, it's only 4,288 words. For Arif, that's pretty concise.
Hasan analyzed Bridgewater's accuracy, delivery, pocket presence, ball velocity, field sense, scrambling/running, and intangibles. Bridgewater's greatest strength is his accuracy, but there are some concerns about his deep ball in certain circumstances, his build and hand size, and his opponent strength. Overall, though, he "is by far the best quarterback in the class, and it's not particularly close... he won't fall past Jacksonville."
He'll be covering the rest of the top quarterbacks soon, so stay tuned for that. John Manziel is next.
