Vikings' Desire: We Want Chris Johnson

Ever since Toby Gerhart has played for the Minnesota Vikings, he hasn't been a big threat to any defense. It's not like opponents had to gameplan or put eight in the box when Gerhart was in the game. When Gerhart was in pass protect, opponents would blitz successfully. I can make a case that Gerhart was under utilize in the passing game. I may also can make a case that Adrian Peterson has made our offensive line look good for the past couple of seasons. Now that we have lost Gerhart and the only viable back up is Matt Asiata, Vikings will look for a RB most likely in the draft to complement Adrian Peterson. Adrian has expressed his desires of Vick and DeSean playing for the Vikings, but his desires has not been met. DeSean to the Vikings made sense, but we all knew Vick was a no-no. Chris Johnson will be released soon. We have 6-7 million to spend in free agency. We want to keep our foot on the opponents neck while Adrian Peterson is taking a breather on the sideline. Chris Johnson can provide that. Signing Chris would help out our passing game and have teams worry every down. This can also add years to Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson career and competition (who is a beast in the gym?). There were rumors of Darren Sproles to the Vikings because the link to Norv Turner, and Turner's utilization of Sproles in San Diego's passing game. Spielman, Zimmer, and Turner, lets have opponents worry about someone other than Adrian Peterson. Lets keep our foot on the opponents neck for 60 minutes.
