... A 10 win season. My reasons:
1) Improved Defense. This breaks down into:
a) a few really nifty free agent signings,
b) hopefully, at least one "impact" player on D in the draft,
c) BETTER COACHING
2) Improved Offense. This isn't because I think we will draft the greatest QB on the planet, it's because of BETTER COACHING (NORV! vs Muskrat)
Think about it. How many games did the Vikes squander leads in the last minute or two last year? How many games were lost because we clung to that outmoded Tampa-2 defense? How much of our offensive production (which really wasn't terrible, just middle of the road) is really Ponder's fault, rather than the godawful, predictable play calling by Muskrat.
In the end, I don't think lack of talent was the trouble. I think most of the Vikes woes were caused by horrible coordinators, which was fixed in the offseason. Discuss ... :)
