Great Quantitative Draft Data - Harsh on the Vikes?

Here are two links to articles that contain pretty great analysis of drafts and drafting strategy

LINK - This one is done by a San Fran fan who is looking at the draft history and uses tables and graphs. Its really good..

LINK - This one is done by a Bills fan looking at the results of trading up – like Spielman seems to like to do.

Unfortunately, to read these articles you have to leave the safety of the DN. But I think its worth the gamble

Despite the tough words for the Vikings, both are good reads! Read ‘em both! I know the Spielman apologists here like to say you can only grade him on the 2012 draft and above. (Even though he was a key member of the "Triangle of Authority") But the articles are pretty rough on the results and strategies of Viking recent draft history. For me, it doesn't really matter who was in charge, it shows me that the biggest problem this org has isn't coaching, its lack of talent.

I like the most recent draft's talent infusion, but if I think it won't much help next year.
