Well i think its pretty much unanimous that if we don't get Bridge, Manziel, Bortles, or Carr. We will get Mett. I mean i've seen just about everyone says he fits the system, he has a cannon for a arm, ect ect.. I decided to mess around and watch a few games of his and others on youtube. After doing that im not sold on him. LSU has 2 potential 1st round WRs. A top RB in Jeremy Hill. My main complaints about Mett (imo) is his ball placement (He can be spot on on some plays then others its off), his poor mobility, i wouldn't say he is very clutch, not so great at throwing on the run. He reminds me of a less mobile Ryan Mallet. So 2nd round i think is a bit steep.

These are some examples of his poor ball placement.

He had pressure. There was a guy almost hitting his hand. However you got to make a play. Its a tad high and pretty far to the left of his TE.

High and away from his RB.

Josh Freemaning it.

If you put it so the fullback can stop or on his numbers thats a catch. Instead a jump ball and high so the SS catches up and knocks it loose. Its a very tough catch for a FB.

High and behind.

More Freeman.

free..... man.

Right at the CB. Great play by the WR but not a very good pass.

Complete pass and a bit nitpicky. But obviously high and behind. The LB wasnt even aware what was going on on the inside so it just negated any chance of a catch and a run.

Guessing wrong route. Or he just thought something else was going on. I dont really know.

Low and behind.

Throw on the run.

Good step up. Pretty far outside. Very tricky catch.

I was impressed a bit by these 2 QBs in these games.

Aaron Murray vs LSU. Murray has significantly less talent on offense (good RB no 1,000 WRs).

Brett Smith vs Texas. Smith has significantly less talent but still plays his butt off vs a ranked team. Texas has Kenny Varraco and Alex Okafor to name a few.

BTW Tom Savage is a no go. Guy folds like a origami under pressure.
