Alright everyone, as I was scouring the web for the latest and greatest 2014 NFL draft rumors, I happened to run across a story on Fox Sports concerning Blair Walsh. Blair basically goes through his pre-draft story and explains his experience as a special-teamer and how fortunate he is to be a kicker in the National Football League.

When Blair Walsh was drafted in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Vikings, we were all scratching our heads. We already had a very reliable (but aging) kicker in Ryan Longwell who had been with the Vikings for several years.

So, in order to find out more about Blair Walsh, we looked his stats up. 64% on field goals his senior season? WHAT?!?! "Oh well, Longwell will beat him out in training camp" we thought. Nope. Whatever Blair had been struggling with, Mike Preifer (ST coordinator) was able to fix it. And Walsh has now become one of the best kickers in the NFL.
