The change in coaching alone should be enough to give us excitement in the upcoming season. The signings of Josef and Munnerlin were incredible answers to positions of need. The draft gave us a crop of great players including, whom I believe to be our franchise QB, Teddy Bridgewater. I think the competition in all positions is great and keeps us guessing at who is going to take what spot. Needless to say, we are going to be looking at team with an entirely new identity.
The staff were tenacious about filing out the roster with a fresh crop in the secondary, which was painfully lacking, that has pushed the battle deep in positioning. I like knowing that we have guys that compete well beyond the first string starters. It's hard to say when all is said and done who is going to be taking the field at the end of training camp but one thing I know, we are going to have a team that is going to compete at a much higher level than we've experienced in the last couple seasons.
Who do you think is going to be the new face to the vikings? After losing Allen, we are looking for the dominant and commanding face that leads the pack... Whether it's Munnerlin or Griffen, I think there are a lot of prospects that are fighting to be recognized as play makers.
We will know more as we proceed closer to the season but off what we have seen so far, who do you think is going to make a name for themselves this season?
