Just recently I read how disgruntled Andre Johnson is in Houston. He really wants off of that team and yes the divorce has been ugly but Johnson was a model teammate and leader for 11 years. And while he is 33 years old, he is coming off back to back 110+ catches and 1500 yards so I think he still has a few good years left. . This guy could easily give us a top 5 offense with Teddy B under center. Call me crazy but I believe that would provide Norv Turner the best set of weapons he has ever had. Who are you going to put a second pair of eyes or pay attention to? Adrian Peterson, and put single coverage on Flash Patterson, Greg Jennings and Kyle Rudolph and even Jarius Wright?
We would also have two veterans who have had long successful careers for Patterson and Wright to learn from in Johnson and Jennings. If Zimmer can keep his focus on the defense I think a trade for Andre Johnson would make us one of the better offenses we have seen for a very long time. If they
The asking price seems to be a third round pick and another player. Id offer Jerome who is a veteran and in his own right and could provide solid minutes. Im okay with giving up a third for an offense that would look like this.
QB: Teddy Bridgewater
RB: Adrian Peterson
WR: Andre Johnson, Cordarrelle Paterson, Greg Jennings
TE: Kyle Rudolph
OL: Matt Kalil, David Yankee, John Sullivan, Brandon Fusco and Phil Loadholt
Key reserves, who come in for certain packages:
Jerome Felton, Jariius Wright, Jerick Mckinnon, Chase Ford. Not to mention a Tiny Richardson on goal line packages.
Im sure this will be met with lots of scorn as it is seen as blasphemous to some around here to trade a future draft pick. Curious to see different trade propositions our general feelings toward the idea.
