The August 2014 has a small note about football in its article about drones. Apparently The UCLA football program uses Phantom drones to spot flaws in spacing, and hand/foot placement among other things. Could this be a new evolution in football training and practices? What about the ability to spy on your opponents for flaws ahead of games? New England Patriots part 2 anyone?
Would this type of information about practices or games really be useful? Would it be easier to spot a "tell" about a play?
