We're a little more than 24 hours away from the Minnesota Vikings taking the field for the second time this preseason, as they will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at TCF Bank Stadium. There are a few different ways for you to follow along with the action on Saturday night, and we're going to outline those for you right here.
Television Info
Kickoff time is scheduled for 7:00 PM Central time on Saturday, 15 August. In the greater Twin Cities area, the game will be available on KMSP-9 (FOX). According to the good folks at The 506, the following markets will also be carrying the game live in their area.
This game will also be carried live on the NFL Network. I think we can owe that largely to the fact that it will be the first NFL appearance for Buccaneers' quarterback Jameis Winston, the #1 overall pick in this year's draft. Whatever the reason, if you're outside of the areas listed above and have the NFL Network, you can catch the game.
If you don't get to see the game live, the NFL Network will be re-airing at 3:30 PM on Sunday, 16 August, 7:00 PM on Monday, 17 August, and 3:00 PM on Thursday, 20 August. (All times Central, as they should be.)
Nothing shows the game being available in Canada or in the UK, per our usual sources of info. The game will be shown on the American Forces Network on AFN Prime Atlantic, starting at 0100Z on Sunday. That's 0200L in Central Europe, 0430L in Afghanistan, and 0900L in Japan and Korea.
Radio Info
The voices on the Vikings Radio Network will be the same ones you'll hear if you watch the game on television, those being Paul Allen and Pete Bercich. We have the full list of Vikings Radio Network affiliates right here for you so that you can find the one in your area.
If you're going the satellite radio route, you can get the Vikings' feed on XM Channel 225, Sirius Channel 138, or internet Channel 817 (if you're using SiriusXM Online). If you're interested in the Buccaneers' feed, you can catch it on Sirius and XM Channel 88 or internet Channel 829.
Referee Info
The crew for tonight's contest will be led by Walt Coleman, according to the folks from Football Zebras. Pete Morelli will be far away in Arizona, presumably ruining the game between the Chiefs and the Cardinals.
Streaming Info
I am not sure if NFL.com will be streaming any of the action live on their site or not. It's possible that they might. If you're overseas and subscribing to NFL Game Pass, you should be able to tap into the NFL Network feed and watch the game that way. Outside of that, I am unaware of a legal outlet for streaming this weekend's game.
(NOTE: Check CCNorseman's comment in this post for more about the U.S. version of Game Pass.)
As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread on Sunday, not anywhere. Don't even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you're that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own. And be sure to enjoy your malware.
That should be everything necessary to follow the first game of the 2015 NFL preseason, ladies and gentlemen. We'll have the Open Thread for tomorrow's game up about an hour before kickoff or so.
