The Minnesota Vikings have made most of the roster cuts they need to make prior to Tuesday's 3:00 PM Central deadline, as they've cut 11 players.
The players the Vikings cut are as follows:
RB Joe Banyard
TE Brandon Bostick
CB Jalil Carter
CB Justin Coleman
WR DaVaris Daniels
OL Stephen Goodin
LB Josh Kaddu
WR Jordan Leslie
DE Caesar Rayford
DT Chrishon Rose
CB DeMarcus Van Dyke
Banyard is probably the most recognizable name of the group, as he got some opportunities at running back for the Vikings near the end of last season. The team also released Bostick, the hero of the 2014 NFC Championship Game. None of the cuts that the team has made should come as a huge surprise or anything like that, from where I sit.
These cuts put the team down to 78 players, which means they still have to release three players by 3:00 PM Central on Tuesday to get down to the NFL-mandated 75-player limit. I have not seen any word or speculation at this time as to who those three players might be.
