It sounds like Jared Allen would have liked to have had a contract extension by now, and reiterates that the Vikings have not approached him yet about a restructure or extension. Here's an interesting quote from Allen:

"Best-case scenario would have been that we would have never gotten to this point. Best-case scenario would have been the organization would have gotten something done (on an extension) a few years back."

Very interesting indeed. Could the Vikings actually let Jared Allen walk after the 2013 season?

Owners Still Discussing Reducing Pre-Season

If the Pre-season is reduced, that could mean either an expanded regular season, or an expanded playoffs. I would prefer an expanded regular season. We've seen a lot of tiebreakers recently heading into the playoffs, and a couple more games of regular season might be enough to break those ties. Plus, I don't want to see more playoff teams, because it devalues the distinction of being in the playoffs.

NFL on X-Box?

Details of the new X-box were released today, and that included a new 5-year agreement between the NFL and Microsoft. Presumably there will be some NFL content available on the X-box...for sure fantasy football, but perhaps more. Will we finally get Sunday Ticket on the X-Box?

I'm more of a PS3 guy, so I have no idea what the X-Box 360 is capable of, but this could be enticing enough to get me to switch...
