Daily Norseman Mock Draft, v3.0
Okay. . .before I get underway here, a big thanks to Sean over at Pride of Detroit. After seeing how nicely formatted his mock draft was compared to the hot mess that mine looked like, I checked out his source code to make things a bit neater.
That being said, let's move on to the draft board.

Yes, I've moved Calvin Johnson to #1 on the draft board, based on the rumors that Crazy Al is going to deal Randy Moss to the Packers for the purposes of Moss running them into the ground like he did with the Raiders. I'm of the belief that Al has looked at Calvin Johnson and said to himself, "Oooooh. . .shiny!" So, he'll ignore the fact that he really doesn't have a QB to go with him and draft the best player available.
I've moved Jamaal Anderson into Minnesota's slot. With the way the first round is falling in this case, Quinn won't be there at #7 (which is good, because I don't want us taking him anyway). The bigger conundrum, with the way things have fallen, is do we go with the best player at a position of NEED (which I believe Anderson would be) or the best player overall (which I think would be Adrian Peterson). Then again, the Vikings might get a team interested in dealing up for Peterson in that situation. I do like Anderson, though. . .he led the SEC is sacks, which is a fairly impressive stat, and he's a big guy (about 30 pounds heavier than Gaines Adams, although I wouldn't mind Adams in our spot, either). But after this pick, I'd expect the Purple to focus exclusively on offense.
That's all for now, folks. . .continue enjoying your weekend!
