In what can only be classed as an absolutely shocking development, Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that former Viking (and current Packer) Koren Robinson is currently in jail in St. Peter, Minnesota, not far from the Vikings' training camp in Mankato.
Robinson was released last year, 11 days after he was arrested following a high-speed chase that ended near the Minnesota State (Mankato) campus. Robinson was charged with a felony count of fleeing a police officer, two misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree driving while impaired, and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, careless driving and driving after his North Carolina license was suspended.
In March 2006, Robinson signed a three-year contract worth $12.7 million.
The Vikings open training camp with practices Friday.
Once a loser, always a loser. I wonder if everyone will continue to refer to him as "former Viking" Koren Robinson when word of this gets out to the national media.
In honor of the Simpsons movie, as well as the legions of Packer fans that were expecting to actually get some kind of positive impact from Tipsy McStagger this season, let me just say. . .
