Our Long National Nightmare Is Over
Just a quick one before I head to bed tonight.
First off, congratulations to the New England Patriots on advancing to their fourth Super Bowl in seven years, and putting themselves 60 minutes away from a feat that may never be equaled. (Until the NFL realizes that 4 pre-season games is too many and expands the regular season while cutting the pre-season.)
Congratulations also go to the New York Football Giants, who are not only advancing to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2000, but have also ensured that it will be safe to watch ESPN, the NFL Network, and any other sports related programming that you might be interested in between now and Super Bowl Sunday.
Honestly, did you want to listen to two weeks of "Favre vs. Brady?" Now, in lieu of that, we'll get talk about what could be a very intriguing Super Bowl, the Patriots on the cusp of immortality, and numerous reruns of the regular season finale that these two teams gave us, which was easily the best non-Vikings game I watched this football season.
Yep, ladies and gentlemen, it's a good time to be a football fan.
I might be a little scarce this week, as my mother has journeyed down from the frozen lands of North Dakota to visit Mrs. Gonzo and I. There WILL be content this week as I continue looking at different potential draft needs for the Beloved Purple, but I'm not going to say what's coming on what day, because I'm not 100% sure. Until then, have a good one, folks!

I guess the comments about how the
At least the Vikings lost to a #2 seed who only lost twice the entire season and not to a rag tag wild card team.
Karma is a bitch aint it?

that
Don't kid yourself. Try having the Vikings win something meaningful. Then do it again and again. And then and only then will this stuff about the past maybe cease from Packers fans.
Maybe.

Not a choke????
When the Packers were being touted as the best the NFC had to offer and capable of knocking of the Pat's, while being at home against the 5th seed Wild Card team who they destroyed ealier in the year??
Thats as big a choke job as you can possibly get.
Sorry, but whether you admit to it or not, doesn't make it any less true.

heart broken packer backer here...
It's funny...tampa was saying they lost because of resting too many players the last week, Dallas of course blamed Jessica Simp, Packer fans are going crazy blaming "over the hill" Favre...for me the reason isn't so much those teams and players, but its about the Giants, and there amazing 10 wins in arow on theroad...never been done before...they're absolutely clicking on all cylinders.
But of course, as fate would have it, the Giants are facing a team that is clicking to the tune of 18 wins a row...unbelieavable finish here.
Guys, remember, the team that I thought gave New England the gutsiest effort was philly...and the Giants have Philadelphia eagle D.C. Jim Johnson's disciple Steve Spagnuolo as Defensive coordinator...
I think this superbowl may turn out to be MIGHTY interesting.
