Judge Gary Larson has ruled that the National Football League can not suspend Vikings' defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams while they appeal their case to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Hennepin County District Judge Gary Larson will be issuing his ruling in the StarCaps case involving Pat and Kevin Williams sometime today. Stay tuned right here for reaction after the decision comes down!
Vikes Geek has a very well-done take on how the words of Judge Magnuson today in court may bode very well for the Williams Wall. Highly recommended piece.
Adam Schefter (via ProFootballTalk.com) is reporting that Judge Paul Magnuson will not lift the restraining order until a full hearing can be conducted. Full speed ahead, boys!
A view of how the (much) lesser half views the StarCaps case. Fair warning. . .the forum that this link leads to is populated by what is pretty much the definition of human filth. Enter at your own risk.
Pat and Kevin Williams will be filing a lawsuit today to appeal what their attorney calls "the arbitrary and inequitable administration of the (substance abuse) program." The attorney also points out that the program is "not designed to protect the integrity of the game. It's designed to placate politicians and protect the image of the league." Which, after yesterday's rulings, is obviously true. Stay tuned, folks. I won't be able to address this further until this evening. Discuss amongst yourselves until then.
Hmmmmm. . .maybe this is why nobody from the current case has been suspended yet. And, say. . .didn't I speculate something like this weeks ago? *pats self on back*
