Almost time for bed, but I thought I'd throw this up there.
First, at some point this week. . .not sure when, but before Sunday's game. . .I'm going to start a series about great moments in Vikings history. Great games, great plays, and so forth. I've got a couple ideas in mind already, but if you have any you'd like to see highlighted, feel free to pass them along.
Second of all. . .and I'm ripping this off directly from Pro Football Talk. . .this is one of the greatest, most moving, and most inspirational speeches I've ever heard. I could listen to this speech every day and never tire of it.
Of course, I speak of Jim Valvano's speech at the 1993 ESPY Awards. The former North Carolina State men's basketball coach gave this speech when he was battling cancer and knew he didn't have long to live, and the words he passed on that night are simply incredible.
I'm putting this here not just so that anyone that wants to see it can watch it right now, but so that it's always got an easily accessible spot here at DN. Enjoy, folks, and we'll see you here tomorrow.
