Sunday Games Open Thread

Have I mentioned recently that I hate, hate, HATE waiting until Monday night to watch the Vikings?  No?  Well, I do.  I hate it a great deal.  The prime-time exposure is nice and everything, but damn it, I want my Vikings and I want them now!

However, in light of the fact that there will be no Vikings game today, here are all of the games that are of any meaning to us in the playoff chase.

Kickoff:  Noon Central 1st 2nd 3rd 4th+OT F
Cardinals 7 7 7 3 24
Saints 7 14 10 0 31

Kickoff:  Noon Central 1st 2nd 3rd 4th+OT F
Seahawks 0 0 0 10 10
Panthers 0 0 0 13 13

Kickoff:  3:15 PM Central 1st 2nd 3rd 4th+OT F
Lions 0 7 7 0 14
Chargers 17 17 10 7 51

Kickoff:  3:15 PM Central 1st 2nd 3rd 4th+OT F
Eagles 0 7 0 3 10
Cowboys 0 3 3 0 6

Kickoff:  7:15 PM Central 1st 2nd 3rd 4th+OT F
Redskins 3 13 6 0 22
Giants 0 3 7 0 10

The teams in bold are the teams we need to be cheering for, though who you cheer for in the Sunday night game really doesn't make a lot of difference.  A New York loss means that we'd be closer to the #5 seed with a win over Chicago, while a Washington loss means that they're pretty much out of the chase.  I highlighted that I'm hoping for a win by the Giants because, hey, I'm more concerned with getting into the playoffs at this point than where we're seeded, and the Redskins getting their 8th loss would just be one less hurdle to overcome.  We can worry about seeding once we know that we officially have an invitation to the party.

I know that my TV is going to be tuned to Cardinals/Saints this afternoon, because that's THE most important game to us today.  But if you want to discuss the events of the day and how they pertain to the Beloved Purple, this is the thread to do it in.
