Vikings Install DOS(s)

Pro Football Talk (via the NFL Network's Adam Schefter) is reporting that the Vikings have signed safety Mike Doss to a 1-year, $1 million deal.  Doss, a four-year veteran, was a second-round pick of the Colts (58th overall) in the 2003 Draft.

Doss is expected to be installed as the new starting strong safety in the Vikings' defense.  I wouldn't think that he'd have have much of an adjustment period, what with his former secondary coach (Leslie Frazier) being the Vikings' new defensive coordinator and everything.

I've asked the good folks over at Stampede Blue for some information on Doss.  You can check over there in their "Diaries" section for their responses, which I'm sure I'll post here at some point over the course of the day.

Update [2007-4-4 11:33:33 by Gonzo]:

As anticipated, Stampede Blue has posted a story about Doss. If what BBS says in said story is true (and I have no reason to believe that it isn't). . .well, score one for Minnesota.
