Clark Judge States the Obvious

Clark Judge over at CBS Sportsline has been ranking the best individual players at each position, both offensively and defensively.  Of all the positions he did rankings for, the choice for the top spot at defensive tackle was obviously the biggest no-brainer.

1. Kevin Williams, Minnesota: In talking to GMs and personnel directors, Williams was a consensus choice. Nobody plays the position better. He's quick, solid against the run and an inside force in the pass rush. When you wonder why the Vikings are so effective against the run, you start here.

Vikings' guard Steve Hutchinson was deemed as the #2 guard in the NFL by Judge, ranking behind only Philadelphia's Shawn Andrews.

And in a non-football football story, Vikings' FB Tony Richardson will be presiding over a "formal commitment ceremony" for his former Kansas City teammate, TE Tony Gonzalez and Gonzalez's girlfriend, October Russell.  It is NOT a wedding, which is why Richardson is presiding over said ceremony instead of an actual man (or woman) of the cloth.

Possibly more later today. . .continue enjoying your weekend, folks!
