Troy Williamson to be Traded to Jacksonville

So sayeth Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

The Vikings have agreed in principle on a deal that would send receiver Troy Williamson to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a second-day pick, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The trade cannot become official, however, until the start of the league year Thursday at 11 p.m. CST.

To the good folks over at Big Cat Country, about the best I can muster at the moment is. . .well. . ."sorry."  If Hallmark made cards for "You just traded for Troy Williamson," I'd totally have one on the way to Chris' place right now.

I'm curious to see what "second-day" means in this case.  Like I said in the previous post, I'd be surprised if it was anything more than a fifth-rounder, but stranger things have happened.  Maybe with the. . .ahem. . ."bidding war" that was going on, we managed to squeeze the Jaguars for a fourth or something.

I'll be sending Chris a little blurb on Troy Williamson that will be up at his site in a little bit.  In the meantime, rejoice, Vikings fans!
