Farwell Loves Vikings' Tender. . .and Signs It, Too

Lost in. . .well, nothing really. . .yesterday was the fact that LB Heath Farwell signed his one-year tender to remain with the Vikings.  Farwell, who was a restricted free agent, was tendered at a level that would have given the Vikings a second-round draft choice had another team attempted to sign him away.

The tender guarantees Farwell a salary of $1.4 million for this season.  Farwell will more than likely see his role on defense increase this season with Dontarrious Thomas defecting to San Francisco, and he'll continue being one of the NFL's best special teams coverage players.

One more little tidbit from today, but I think it deserves its own post, so that will be coming up here shortly.
