Vikings at Packers, Third Quarter Thread

The Vikings and Packers have given us an exciting contest thus far, but Viking fans can't help but wonder if we could be ahead by more.

The Vikings had made it to their own 40-yard line with about 20 seconds left on the clock and two timeouts left. A long pass to Randy Moss just prior to that was negated by a "push-off". . .the referee's words, not mine. . .on 84. But despite advancing the ball and having timeouts left, Brad Childress decided to just sit on the ball and go into the locker room with a 17-14 halftime lead.

The Packers will get the ball coming out of the locker room at halftime. . .the Vikings have been much better in the second halves of games this year. Let's hope that that trend continues.
