It's time to take a quick look at the injury reports for tomorrow's game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions, folks.
The big story going into this one. . .from the media's perspective, in any case. . .is whether or not Brett Favre will start for the Vikings at quarterback after missing the game against the Eagles with a concussion. On the injury report that came out on Friday, the Vikings listed Favre as doubtful, and Leslie Frazier was a bit evasive on the matter of whether or not Favre had passed his concussion test yet, but as of now it appears that we've seen the last of #4 on the field as a Viking.
Other things to highlight from the injury report include safety Madieu Williams being placed on injured reserve after his concussion, and former Golden Gopher Marcus Sherels being promoted from the practice squad to replace him, Sidney Rice being listed as doubtful with a concussion after the cheap shot he took from Asante Samuel on Tuesday (which, stupidly enough, wasn't fined by Herr Goodell and company), and Adrian Peterson being listed as probable rather than questionable like he was last week.
