When you get blown out on national television, there aren't going to be a whole lot of Game Balls to hand out. No, the offense was terrible, the defense was terrible, even the special teams were terrible.
None of the players deserve a Game Ball. . .and certainly none of the coaches deserve a Game Ball. So, I think that the best way to go about doing this is to simply keep this one for ourselves.
Yes, there are plenty of folks that stuck out the entirety of that throttling our favorite team received on Monday night. . .through bad play, mindless trolls, and other pitfalls, we once again persevered. The Game Threads here have long been a great community space for everyone to hang out, win or lose, and Monday night was no exception.
We've got seven more Game Threads left to go for the season and, heck, after the way this team looked on Monday night, there's a chance that we're going to be commiserating over seven more losses. I sincerely hope that all of you folks, however, will continue to stop by and participate in them. If you've been participating in them already, you know how much fun they can be. If you haven't been, give it a shot. Once we crush some trolls, it tends to be a pretty good time for everybody.
So, to briefly recap, the recipient of the Game Ball of the Week is. . .us! Congratulations to us! Hooray, us!
